Let’s take a moment to talk about the garden…
Some would say the original garden was simply flagstone and overgrown plants but for us it was a fantastic opportunity for transformation!
The stone slabs were lifted, the weeds and overgrown plants were removed and suddenly there was an amazing blank canvas for us to create something wonderful for our children to learn in!
Before long the pathways were laid out, the ground levelled and a giant hole excavated for our ground level sand pit. A beautiful archway has been hand crafted to lead the children into our investigation area and a purpose built slide is being constructed at just the right height to be used by all the children in our care.
Soft – surface and fake grass with form the flooring in our garden with sand, bark chips and pebbles in feature areas. There will be lots of opportunities for planting and growing as we teach the children how to care for the world around them starting with their garden.
For us the garden needs to be an extension of our classrooms with learning opportunities everywhere. The area will be number and letter rich with space for children to investigate their world, play with toys in a different way and experiment with their surroundings. Our highly trained team will be able to utilise this magnificent garden space to extend and enhance the learning of each individual child in new and exciting ways.
