Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery New Cross is proudly located at 296 Queens Road, New Cross, London SE14 5JN. We’re nestled in the heart of the local community, just a short walk from New Cross Gate, Queens Road Peckham, and Nunhead train stations—offering easy access across London and the Borough of Lewisham.
Our beautifully converted nursery building features bright, open-plan rooms designed to inspire children’s learning and development, along with secure outdoor play areas, including a private baby garden and free-flow spaces for toddlers and preschoolers.
We are ideally placed to serve families across New Cross, Peckham, Nunhead, and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

🍫 Toddlers are stepping into Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with a deliciously tempting chocolate-themed sensory tray! 🍫✨
📚 Preschoolers are enjoying their very own book club, exploring Matilda through stories, discussion and creative activities. ✏️💫
What a wonderful way to bring these much-loved stories to life while supporting imagination, language, creativity and learning through play! 💛

Here at Monkey Puzzle New Cross, we have three fantastic teams, each with their own special role:
👶 Explorers – our wonderful Baby Room
🔎 Discoverers – our brilliant Toddler Room
💡 Inventors – our amazing Preschool Room
While each team has their own little corner of Monkey Puzzle, we’re one big team at heart! 🤗 Our staff are always happy to lend a helping hand, share ideas, support one another and jump in wherever they’re needed. 💪✨
But… we’d be lying if we said we didn’t miss each other when we’re off helping another team! 😉😂 There’s nothing quite like that happy reunion when everyone’s back together!

And of course, we’re inviting the children to dress up as their favourite Roald Dahl character! We can’t wait to see all the fantastic costumes and bring these much-loved stories to life. 🥰📖

🍌✨ We’ve gone bananas! ✨🍌
Our little learners have been getting creative with a banana-themed sensory activity inspired by Betty Goes Bananas! 📚🍌
Using coloured rice, our children worked together to create their very own banana face, exploring textures, colours and patterns along the way. From scooping and sprinkling to carefully placing each detail, there was lots of hands-on learning, teamwork and imagination happening! 👐🎨
And just look at the finished masterpiece… what a cheeky banana! 😄🍌💛

Our preschoolers have been putting their fine motor skills to the test as they’ve been busy creating their very own friendship bracelets! 🌈✨
With lots of concentration, creativity and teamwork, they carefully threaded, twisted and designed their bracelets to share with their special friends. 🥰📿

All jokes aside, ratios are incredibly important when it comes to keeping everyone who steps foot into our nursery safe. 💛
Here at Monkey Puzzle New Cross, one of our setting’s missions is to ensure our rooms are always well staffed, giving our team extra pairs of hands whenever they’re needed. 👏
That means your little ones have the care, attention and supervision they deserve — while our amazing team have the support they need throughout the day too. 🥰
And yes… it also means that if someone needs to take five minutes, grab a drink and have a breather (especially if they’re feeling a little light-headed 😉), we’ve got the flexibility to make that happen safely.
Because when it comes to childcare, more support means safer, happier children and a happier team! 🐒💛
