Monkey Movement Awards go to all our little Inventors who took part in there very first Spanish Lesson!
We had a visit from Bilingual Beats who came with their musical instruments, singing voices and awesome Spanish songs! The children had a great time dancing and playing along to the music as well as learning a few Spanish words too!
Language lessons are something we hope to introduce to the Inventors Room as the nursery grows! Spanish was certainly popular with the children but if you have any other suggestions of languages you would like your child to experience then just let us know and we will look into it!!
You may have noticed that there was a very special Wedding recently! We had a wonderful time celebrating with Prince Harry and Meghan! We made crowns, decorated cakes and made very special love hearts for the occasion!
A great big congratulations to the happy couple from all of us here at Monkey Puzzle New Cross!!
Celebrating special occasions is something we hold very dear! From celebrating each child’s birthday with a special home made cake, to celebrating development milestones, celebrating new brothers and sisters arriving and finally celebrating heading off to school with our Graduation Ceremony!
Life is full of joyful moments – it is important we celebrate them!!!

We love being out in the garden with the children! They love to take their shoes off, play with water, plant flowers and generally enjoy being outside! It’s wonderful!
This week our Monkey Mini Chefs have been learning all about MILK! Where does it come f
rom? How does it get to us? How do we like to drink it?
They watched some videos about where milk comes from and how the farmers have to milk the cows to get the milk for us to drink! The children had a go at “milking” using our cleverly inventive “udders!” It was a bit tricky but they got the hang of it!
We talked about how the children like their milk best – cold from the fridge or nice and warm! On this hot sunny day most of the children decided they would like a nice cold glass of milk! It was delicious!
Thank you cows!!
